So far I haven't been doing very well at this blogging thing. I want to post something about our trip to New Orleans but I haven't downloaded pictures yet....maybe tonight.

Meanwhile, visit the new blog I just linked to on my home page. Its bethriftylikeus and this women in crazy about saving money. She has some great suggestions if you have the time to do all of this stuff. Maybe when I have a baby and no real social life I can do that.

First Blogging Attempt

I figured that since I have this new job in marketing and one of my responsibilities is promoting our organizations blog then i should get some experience in running a blog myself. So here I go......

A few weeks ago I was driving to Dallas with my good friends, Amber and Jenica, and I looked up to the sky at a small airplane. Immediately I began thinking about how fun and challenging it would be to learn to fly. So I sent a text message to my husband telling him that before I die I want to take flying lessons. This began a conversation about our "Bucket List". If you don't know what this is then you HAVE to watch the movie....it's wonderful. But to save you the trouble I will just tell you. A bucket list is a compilation of things that you want to do before you die. Now I know that I am too young to start thinking about things like this but I do think its a good idea to write down your dreams and desires and to constantly work toward achieving those goals.

So here are a few of the things that are on my list.....
*Learn to fly an airplane
*Obtain a graduate degree (this has been on my list for some time and will be achieved in May !!!)
*Visit a foreign country (Mexico doesn't count)
*Go to Las Vegas
*See the inside of the White House
*Attend a presidential inauguration
*Become a mother
*Learn another language
*Ride a roller coaster
*Spend New Year's Eve in New York
*Go to Mardi Gras
*See the pyramids in Egypt
*Win the lottery (a girl can dream!)
*Watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade...live
*Run in a marathon (first I have to do something about this asthma)
*Sail a boat
*Learn sign language (at least the basics)
*Skinny dip in the ocean
*Ride a train (the one at the zoo doesn't count)
*Drive from the West coast to the East coast in a convertible
*Stay out all night dancing and go to work the next day without having gone home (just once...something to keep me feeling young)
*Raft through the Grand Canyon (this has been a long time desire of mine)
*Eat a meal in the fanciest restaurant I can find (and order dessert)
*Ride with the storm chasers during tornado season

This is just a start. Now I want you to tell me what you have on your bucket list.
